Inhale_Exhale

Finally a break from clicking on the computer - today was a day in our woodshop.  Unfortunately our shop isn’t equiped with any masks, earplugs or ventilation of any kind…the best I can do is open the garage door out back and hope the wind will attract dust away from  my face - which never happens because i’m directly above the machines.  Words of advice, in a situation like this "go and buy a mask."  I think I inhaled about 3 pounds of maple and maybe a pound of MDF - and a couple shards of Foam Core….Now the rating goes:  MDF (the worst by far), Maple, and then Foam…there is something about the smell of Foam that I like, I think its the melty plastic smell.

Being overly anxious when using the band saw or the table saws is typically a good thing…Today was a zoning day, I wasn’t paying attention and there was a loud pop….I looked down hoping that I wouldn’t see signs of red, and realized that the band saw belt snapped in half…I was extremely relieved that I didn’t amputate anything - but I spoke to soon.  No cut-offs, but I did sand the tip of my finger off on the belt sander.  There was some blood.  Buy a mask.

we came, we saw, we conquered….

Vegas has to be for the strong. - basically people with initiative - initiative to get something out of the city whether it be money or some personal encounters.  I didn’t go with any initiative so I didn’t come back with too much to spill, but it was definitely fun.  I couldn’t handle it for more than one day, I think at one point I was feeling a spasm coming on from the ringing in my head on sunday - which could have become a full blown seizure if not for the rapid trek out of Nevada.

Theres not much I’m going to say for this past weekend - what goes on, stays there…but today I take comfort in my morning traffic drive to work and actually look forward to this week back in l.a.

Happy 27th birthday Julie….

okay…so the only place my name is mentioned on the internet via my korean name - is on this site which i’m going to post….Now normally i would be extremely embarrassed about this, but considering it is my only appearance on the WWW….i might as well share it with the world…

now if you scroll down the page, you’ll see me with my cheeks above my cranium…and you thought it couldn’t be possible.

so I went to the infamous Tito’s TAcos today in Culver City…  In order to psychologically get my mind ready for the inhalation of twice-dipped and fried-then dipped again greasy tacos my co-worker and I walked the three long blocks to get there in the sweltering heat.  After the long wait in the line I opted to get the burrito sans grease with only refried beans and cheese…..  It wasn’t amazing, not to the hype it was -although I didn’t get the tacos…which is the reason for its fame, it wasn’t too bad.  No RED HOT SAUCE though…the hot sauce was mild at the best - I’ll go again in about 6 months from now after the burrito has been thoroughly digested.

money baby!

VEGAS BABY VEGAS!

so Julie just wrote me an email saying that her 27th birthday on the weekend of October 7th will be celebrated in yes…."Sin City"….so it is definitely something to look forward to.

On another note, I retrieved my mail last night to find the dreaded "jury Summons"….either I’m filing for financial hardship or writing a hate letter to the supreme court proclaiming my racism…

birthday boi.

today was my co-workers birthday, and besides him doing flares and twirls - and actually made it around 360 3x over - he had a big smile on his face, knowing how gay he looked doing it…..he loved the attention and commented on how he wished he had his dancing shoes on….I’ll post up a pic of him…not doing twirls but looking dorky as ever….We went to California pizza kitchen for lunch during which we were trying to guess the asian ethnicity of our waitress which Caroline (my other co-worker) and I bet was korean….-Mark didn’t have the nerve to ask her out - but did think she looked like Lucy Liu.

Hot as usual…probably drinking tons tonight.  We just pounded down a mini cake from the grocery store which will induce a bigger food coma spell than what we are under right now….

sleeeeeep….  thank god…friday. - this weekend is all about cleaning.  sucks ass.
Are asians as kinky as everyone thinks they are…Caroline and I were talking about the asian kinky factor - and although we convinced Mark that asian girls are fucked up in the head…..- and that they will do just about anything asked….we still wonder if true for most.

you are everything.

I read somewhere that you shouldn’t listen to your ipod for more than two-three hours per day, cuz it will diminish the quality of what hearing you have left….needless to say my whole day is accessorized with white plugs which seem to be slowly adding to my inability to pay attention….What?

Traffic sucks!  Need I say more…although there are those days (usually mid week) where you don’t get caught in every red light, but only every other red light….and those of you who live in l.a., you remember the other day when it rained - which definitely was refreshing, something i haven’t seen since I’ve come back to l.a. in May, but people don’t know what to do when it rains….they drive like idiots. - I never realized that the used car that i bought when i moved back here didn’t have a wiper blade on the passanger side wiper, and I was one of those classified "idiot drivers" on the street.

I miss New York. - nothing more to say to that.
Hurricane Rita is a big pain in the ass - wishing all those down there the best….I wouldn’t no what to do if someone said i needed to leave everything behind…considering that I can’t even grab my cat under normal circumstances - i might have to stay behind and hope for the best.  life sucks big.

I went to Mariangela’s house yesterday for a surprise party for her boyfriend Paco…it was fun, I was fashionably early and got to hang around Nikki and Mari like old times drinking up Pina Coladas…Sweet stuff….Mari made these little hummus/wrap rolls which were beyond amazing, I must have eaten two meals worth…people started trickling in and by the time Paco came, we all had to hide around a wall near the dining room, we turned off the lights, and said Surprise….times like these…surprises are so fun…

So my boss just got back from our client meeting, and the project that i’ve been working on has been aproved without any disputes or suggestions or changes.- they took it in full force, they loved it…and we’re going to build it….one of the happiest moments in awhile….got to go…too excited.
